My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Desiree, a dynamic two-year-old lab-staffie mix, radiating energy and a heart ready to learn. Though she may appear a tad shy, Desiree is a willing and enthusiastic student when it comes to just about everything. She quickly mastered table manners, potty training, leash walking and a few tricks. She is eager to learn and to please you. She is very affectionate.

Desiree is friendly and interested in saying hello to all dogs and people she meets on walks. She plays well with other dogs, is not aggressive, but is best paired with dogs her size as she can play rough as well as gently. Desiree plays daily with her foster brother who is a three-legged Rotty mix. They love to play tug-of-war and keep away. They share all their toys and treats freely. She enjoys unpacking little baby squeak toys from a playtime log or hunting for treats in puzzle toys. As you work on refining her trick repertoire, you'll discover a loyal and devoted companion who thrives on the joy of learning and receiving attention. You will both enjoy a rewarding journey and bonding.

Desiree's vibrant personality means she comes with a good amount of energy, so be prepared to keep her engaged. She is not hyper but does need regular exercise and engagement. She is very strong and runs very fast. She tries not to jump up but is so excited to engage with you that she sometimes forgets. She loves camping and hiking and shows a remarkable ability to remember trails and her way around the neighborhood. She has earned our off-leash trust so that she can play fetch and run freely around in the yard. She listens well and responds when called. If you're ready for an energetic and trainable partner who will adore you and appreciate you, Desiree could be the perfect match for your loving home.

Desiree is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and has been spayed. If you have children in your home, we always recommend supervision between animals and children.
