My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marsh is a 45 lb 2 yr old Australian Shepherd mix.  He is social, friendly, good with other dogs, and has been introduced to a cat as well.

He lived in a home with children prior to coming to the shelter and did fine with them.  He is currently enrolled in our prison training program to work on housetraining and enhance his obedience skills. And he will remain there until we find an approved adopter.

His handler states the following: He loves to cuddle, great on leash, ignores the resident cat, loves the other dogs and is true to his breed by wanting to herd the others.

Anyone interested in Marsh MUST call the shelter directly to schedule an appointment to meet him and complete an application.

More about this shelter

We are the Morrow County Dog Shelter, operated by the county.
Our shelter houses stray and homeless dogs from our county. We are a small shelter with an annual intake between 250-400 dogs. Some of our available dogs go through a prison training program if they qualify.
Our adoption fee includes all basic vet care and it is completed before a dog goes to his/her new home. An adoption application is necessary for all dogs prior to an adopter being chosen.
