My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Patrick
Lab Mix
Male

Hello there, I’m Patrick, your handsome dream dog! I have been described as a lovely, snuggly, perfect gentleman. I am fully house trained, calm, exceptionally gentle and ready to be your best friend now and forever!

I am always looking for pets and affection! I will scoot my head under your hand so you have something nice to touch. I will lean against you and give occasional kisses, but not too many. I don’t beg for food at all, but I’ll keep you company in the kitchen by laying down so you know I’m ready to help you clean up. Even if you aren’t paying attention to me, I just want to be near you.

I am happy, curious, and friendly with everyone I meet. I like adults, kids, dogs, and cats. I will gently nose boop a kitty and coexist in peace. I have no prey drive so I’m easy to walk since I don’t go zooming after squirrels and rabbits. I zig zag a little so I can explore as I walk, but don’t pull on my leash or try to run over other dogs. I am an obedient, good listener. I come when I am called, pick up on routines quickly and enjoy sitting for the treats I deserve!

I’m an adorable goofball who will be ideal for someone who wants a large dog, but does not want to deal with rowdy large dog behaviors. I’m so, so gentle. I’m at a healthy weight with a beautiful coat and a joyfully wagging tail. I recently underwent surgery to repair a ligament injury in my leg with the assistance of our skilled veterinarians. I’ll need six weeks for recovery and rest before getting back to my regular routine. I have a little trouble with stairs, especially narrow indoor stairs and I’m taking some joint supplements to keep me comfy. I enjoy relaxing on a futon, at the foot of my favorite people, or in my crate. I will play fetch with a rope bone and chew on a regular bone, but I’m a chill, fairly low energy guy who could be known as “Gramps.”

I’m so ready for my forever home! I deserve to be adored as much as I adore everyone around me!
