My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Doxie was adopted from the animal shelter at West Valley Humane Society 7 years ago. She is currently around 10 years old. We are looking for a new home for Doxie because as much as we have tried to give her everything she needs, we have found that she needs someone who will give her a lot of love and attention, someone who does not have small children, and who has the ability to help with her separation anxiety. She is scared of others (especially men) and has given a warning bite to another dog and small child when they have gotten too close to her face. The nips/bites were not severe and barely left a mark but her anxiety is a big factor. She needs someone who has the knowledge and time to help her with this issue. Doxie is so loving and loves to go on walks, car rides, and to the park. She does well around others as long as they are older and can control their movements around her (i.e. children over 8 years). She can never get enough pets and is protective.
