If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Albie is a chill 11-12 year old senior looking for his new home. He spends most of his day napping and when the sun is out, looks for spots to sunbathe. He came to us from a shelter when he was estimated to be 1 year old with most of his habits already developed. He is food motivated and protects his food. He does not play with toys and not interested in a toy unless food is involved. He is not very active and loves to be petted every now and then. Unfortunately, with our life changes we are unable to give him the attention he needs and deserves.
He is fine at the vet but hates the groomers so you will need to be able to groom him yourself or find a groomer that will work with anxious dogs. He is potty trained, but because he is getting older, he does have occasional accidents, especially when he is excited. He knows basic commands such as sit, down, and paw. He prefers to lounge indoors and does not pay much attention to other pets or kids unless they take his food.
