My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bandit is a very sweet 8 year old, 20lb, Terrier mix. He has very long legs, curly, wire hair and a little mohawk! He came to our rescue after his family moved to an apartment where he wasn't allowed. Bandit has adjusted well and has been friendly with everyone he has met! He gets along with dogs, cats, bunnies, and kids! He can be a little protective over his food and toys towards other animals but he is easily corrected. While he has lived with all types, he is pretty mellow and doesn't appreciate hyper animals or young puppies in his face. He will play with his buddies on occasion, but we think he would be happy in a home with older/calm pets or he would be fine being your one and only! He loves a good scratch and will follow you around the house, but he is not overly needy and constantly asking for attention. He is content relaxing on his dog bed most of the day. He has moments where he is playful and goofy as he throws his toys around but, you'll see a completely different side of him the moment you pull out his leash! He loves to go for walks and will jump up and down in anticipation! He is, generally, very well-behaved but he can forget his manners on a walk. He pulls and barks at other dogs in excitement. Other than that, he is a very good boy who wants to please. Bandit is great in a car, knows basic commands, is housebroken, and crate trained. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

$400 for puppies (6mo or younger)
$350 for adult dogs
$250 for senior dogs (8+years)

$150 for kittens (6mo or younger)

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
