Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lavern is a female beagle, at least 8 years old. She is very sweet, a happy dog. She weighs 22 pounds. She seems fine with other dogs and doesn't seem to care about cats. She needs a comfortable home where she can live out her remaining years.
She was spayed on February 9 and has struggled recovering. She has had to spend extra time at the vet. She also has mammary tumors that will need to be removed down the road. With the trouble she has had with her spay surgery, it will be something we will have to discuss with her adopter.
She tested negative for heartworms, Lyme disease, e.canis and anaplasmosis. She is up to date on shots, treated for fleas/ticks and intestinal parasites and is microchipped.
Adoption fee is $100.
If interested, apply at www.humanesocietyofmartincounty.org. Our shelter does adoptions by appointment only. An adoption application is required first.
