I did come to the Humane Society as a low heartworm positive but I am being treated. I will need to be low activity for a while due to the treatment. I love being picked up and carried but I am not quite used to being on a leash yet and would need a little time, work, and patience to get comfortable walking with one. I also need some time to learn a little potty training. I am used to having a yard to run and play in, so I would do best with a fenced in yard.
