My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED!
Low-Rider Alert! Rosie is a loving and loyal lady. She is highly motivated by treats and making her person happy. She is very trainable and listens to your every word. Rosie is house trained, crate trained. She doesn’t mind her crate and can also be trusted in the house when you’re away not to get into mischief.

She loves a good toy to chew on, her favorites are the ones that last a good while. Some treats and food she’s sensitive to, but staying true to her Purina dog food and proven treat options keeps her itchy flare ups at bay.

Favorite thing in the whole world? Rosie loves to sleep under the covers with her owners and wiggle her tail and whole body whenever you come into the room

Rosie can walk on a leash but can also pull when she sees something, so will benefit from some more training for walks. She loves exploring a fenced yard and will makes sure all the bunnies and squirrels stay on alert.

Rosie does not like other dogs but will tolerate a smart cat (one that if she decides to give chase can get away). Rosie can demonstrate bad manners when greeting and may be too much for kids under 10. She has lived in a house with 3 older children (10+) her whole life with no issues.

Rosie loves people and has never been aggressive to any human - family or strangers (just sometimes over excitable, jumps, zoomies, etc)

Rosie does not like other dogs and can be dominant. Despite being adopted at the same time, she and her “sister” dog can no longer live together because they frequently scuffle and Rosie has some scars to show. She has been well cared for each time and has no physical limitations or lingering health issues.

Her family is heartbroken to part with her but finding her a single pet home is the best place for her safety and to thrive. Rosie very much wants to be someone’s companion for many years.

Rosie is a Terrier/Pitbull/Basset Hound. She has the low-rider build with big basset paws. She was born approximately 1-1-20 and weighs 60 lbs. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given heartworm preventative as well as flea and tick preventative. Adoption fee is $150. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. If interested in adopting one of our available dogs or puppies, you must first complete an online adoption application at https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/ You will be contacted by our adoption coordinator via email after your application has been reviewed & approved to schedule an appointment. Our website is updated daily, pets that are listed are still available.
***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Go meet their pets

Thank you for contacting Dolly's Legacy Animal Rescue with your interest in adopting one of our beautiful orphaned pets. We are a foster-home based rescue group and do not have a facility. All of our adoptable pets with their photos, descriptions, adoption fees & most information requested about them can be seen on our website which is updated daily at this link: http://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org If they are still listed on our website, they have not yet been adopted. Since most of the pets we rescue have been orphaned or abandoned, we are not certain of their breed/mix and are not able to pinpoint how big they will be full-grown if they are still young. We do our best to determine the breed(s) they most closely resemble.

The first step is to have you complete our online adoption application. Please visit our website at this link to see our adoption guidelines, on this page you will also find the link to complete & submit an adoption application: https://dollyslegacyanimalrescue.org/adopt/
All adoption appointments are scheduled after your application has been approved. We need all family members or those living within your home, including pets (dogs not cats), to come for the appointment. We do not "hold" pets for a specific date. If you are going on vacation, or cannot take when the pet is available, please wait to apply until you are ready to adopt. We do out of state/area adoptions, but approved adopters are required to come to an adoption appointment, we do not ship pets. The final approval to adopt is after we have met applicants and feel they are the right match for that particular pet.

Be sure to "like" our page on Facebook where you will find more photos and to learn more about our rescue.https://www.facebook.com/DollysLegacyAnimalRescue?ref=hl
