Do you need a pup to keep up with your active lifestyle? Do you have another dog that would love an energetic playmate? Meet Roma, a 1 year old lab mix! This playful pup is a drop dead gorgeous, fun-loving girl. She especially enjoys playdates with the neighbor pup! Roma gets along well with other dogs in the foster home, although the old lady chihuahua in the house is not interested in her propositions to play chase.
She has been perfect in her crate, even though her history in a crate is traumatic. She was abandoned in an apartment by her previous owners and locked in a very small crate for who knows how long. But when you meet her, you would not know her previous life of neglect. She is happy go lucky and wants to snuggle and play with her fuzzy toys and squeaky balls. She sleeps peacefully through the night in her crate. No fear of getting in the crate when foster goes to work or at night for sleep time. Especially if she gets treats for going in!
Roma is completely housetrained. She knows “sit” and is learning “place” and “leave it” and “wait” at an open front door. She is definitely putting on some much needed weight and looking as beautiful as ever! She is learning to walk on leash. Roma would love a home that will continue her training and take her on active adventures. She could be a great hiking or jogging buddy. She might also enjoy paddle boarding or kayaking. She’s pretty compact but athletic. Small children would not be a good fit for Roma since she is a bit too active. This girl has flourished with some stability, safety, and love. She curls up on the couch or bed and just wants to be close to you. She is a sweet soul and has lots of love to give!
Roma is up to date on vaccinations, spayed, and microchipped. If Roma sounds like a perfect fit for your family, please submit an application before you miss out on this special girl.
