My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!!

Hi, I'm Jeanie! I am a 5-year-old female German Shepherd searching for my forever home, and I know I can make someone so happy. Once I get comfortable and get to know you, I am the sweetest, most loyal girl ever. I love getting pets and I love to cuddle my foster parents. I've been searching for this type of love and care my whole life, and I'm so lucky to be in a good home. I promise wherever I go next, I will love you as much as I love my foster parents. It will likely take me some time to get adjusted to the new house, but you will not regret investing your time in me! I have come such a long way, and I keep getting better every single day, and I love to please my family.

I love playing in the yard and having fun. I'll play with toys and even throw them up in the air to myself while prancing along. I love chasing squirrels and spending time outdoors. Now that my foster parents are able to take me to training, I'm doing sooooo good when I go for walks. By the way, walks are my absolute favorite. I get so excited when it's time to go I start jumping up and down with excitement.

I've found out I'm not the biggest fan of smaller dogs. I get along with my foster brother really well, but it took some time to adjust. We love playing together in the backyard and we'll even cuddle up when it's time for a nap. I am hoping to get more socialized, but sometimes I get afraid of other dogs and I'm very protective over my foster family, so sometimes I bark. Structured introductions are key to my success.

I promise you will love me. I am sweet, fun, loyal, goofy, and a pretty girl (at least that's what my foster parents say). Please reach out if you'd like to come meet me. I know I can't wait!
