My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sending lots of hugs and kisses to XO while he waits for his final home. XO dreams of a quiet home where he can bond with a soulmate, where his calm companionship will be valued, and where his gentle love for you will deepen and grow. XO's many years have taught him the value of family and friends. He is seeking his last home where he can treasure his new family and make new friends. XO is approved for kids and grandkids age 5 and over and he may do well with other dogs in his new home with a slow introduction.

XO checks off all your boxes, too. He recently spent a 3-night sleepover with one of our foster couples in their Sun City home. They discovered that XO is a sweet, gentle, and loving companion. He met their neighbor's dogs on the first morning and enjoyed his daily morning walks with these dogs. He even play-bowed and flirted with the younger dog, proving this old dog can make new friends. XO is 100% house-trained, he went potty in the backyard and also on his neighborhood walks. He enjoys cuddling on the sofa, going for car rides, sunning himself in the backyard, and meeting new people. XO was well-behaved in the car, enjoying sniffing the air when the window was rolled down a few inches. He easily hopped into the back seat of the car. XO slept through the night curled up at the foot of the bed, and also used the dog bed in the bedroom. Indoors, he is an easy, low-energy dog with polite indoor manners - no counter surfing, and no trying to eat the family's snacks while they were all seated on the sofa.
