You know how everyone describes their dog as an angel? Well, Merry is actually that angel. She has one of the sweetest and kindest temperaments that you pray for when you're looking for your fur baby. And the best part? Merry is already trained and all grown up, while also still having the fun, playful energy of a pup when it's appropriate! So if you're looking for an "out of the box" perfect K9 companion, she might be the one for you! She came to me with a few needs in the training department and knocked everything out of the ballpark in about a week. She's highly eager to please, very food motivated, and needs only the most minor corrections, so if there's anything new to learn, it's a breeze. The only things to be aware of with her are that she is very curious when she's outside, so you need to be good at *consistently* getting ahead of distractions and letting her know when it's appropriate to explore and greet others. She is also a big girl, at 75 lbs, so in situations where you don't notice a distraction coming, you will probably want a little muscle behind the leash, but Merry reacts quickly to a correction should she get too excited and try to say hi. She gets a little startled by hoses or running water, loud sounds (vacuum, blender, etc.), and flapping clothes or sheets...fairly typical, but good to be aware of. And the last thing I would note is that Merry does *NOT* need very intense corrections, she is a sensitive girl and, like I said, she just wants to make you happy! If you're good at giving commands assertively, not aggressively, and limit your corrections to gentle reminders, then she's probably the perfect pup for you! Not so bad as far as cons go, huh?
