Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Milo is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever / Golden Retriever mix. He weighs 97 lbs. He came to us after his family found out that their young child had developed allergies to him. He is a very friendly, high-energy, goofy boy. He knows basic commands and is house-trained, but he does pull a bit on walks, so he needs an owner willing to help him polish his leash manners. He goes a bit crazy when he sees our feral cat, Chuck, so we think he needs a home without cats. He was neutered on February 8th and is up-to-date on all his other vet care.
The first step in our adoption process is to fill out an adoption application: http://medfieldshelter.com/adopt. Our dog adoption fee is $350. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.
