My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baby is a sweet girl who was rescued from a hoarding house and requires Tiny for confidence and security. He helps her overcome a lot of fears she would have if she didn't stay with him :(
She can be very shy and timid and will become fearful if you go too fast or push her into uncomfortable situations. It will take time for her to become comfortable in her new surroundings so her new owner must have patience and time for both her and Tiny.

Baby does well with all dogs if properly introduced. She has played with smaller dogs tho it's not recommended due to her size and her rough play style.
We're not sure how she is with cats or kids. Small children will need to be well supervised due to her size :)

Baby is also very territorial - as well sensitive, loving and very affectionate. She loves to lay on the couch and be near her humans
She will not do well with an assertive owner because of her background. She can be frightened easily but as long as she's with Tiny she will continue to improve and grow successfully.
Baby can be man shy so patience with her is important. She lives with a man and his wife now and she does great with him now. She was scared at first but if you let her come to you she's a gem.

She has had a hip issue so she's given supplements to improve her strength daily.
Her adopter must also provide supplemental care for life unless it is decided for surgery. She does fine with supplements and multivitamins and can run and play with no issue.
Baby will need more vet care and that will be the responsibility of her adopters once adopted. Her foster will give you as much information as she has for Baby's healthcare. She does require supplements to maintain her weight.
We estimate her to be about 4-5 years old, she is utd on required vax and spayed
She will need time to adjust to the chaotic sounds and things of the city because she's lived in the mountains where it's peaceful and quiet. Experience is required with proof of that experience. You must understand how this breed is to maintain a long lasting relationship.

More about this rescue

My Best Friend Rescue was originally started in 2017 as an animal rescue sanctuary in honor of the Georgia 107 & Annabella.
Since that time, we have grown and developed in so many ways into who we are now.

We are a nonprofit in-house as well as foster based animal rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs on death row in high kill shelters.

We are dedicated to saving the ones who need us the most.
We provide them with the rehabilitation, love, patience, and guidance each of our dogs may need.
When they’re ready, we continue to work hard at finding them their perfect furever and a day home!
