My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nick! Nick is a beautiful 11-week old 17-lbs male Catahoula (or possibly blue heeler) mix. He is a lively puppy that enjoys going on walks with his adult dog buddy, Moon. Nick loves to greet new people with fierce wags of his tail and many puppy kisses. He has been wormed and up-to-date on vaccines. Nick sleeps through the night in his crate and is mostly housebroken at his current foster's home. He sits for a "cookie" and is very attentive.

Nick was surrendered to Animal Control at about 4-5 weeks old but luckily the advocate was present and found him an immediate foster so he did not have to stay in the shelter.

Nick is ready for adoption in the NJ area around the 19th of February. He will do best with a family who will include him in daily activitieis and has a secure fenced yard. Nick would probably enjoy the copany of a gentle confident adult dog and can be with supervised children. He may require some formal training as he is high energy and very smart.

More about this rescue

We are an Animal Rescue Group. Our primary focus is to help to save animals who may be killed without our intervention. They often come from high kill facilities, abusive, or abandonment situations.

We have a strong commitment to reducing the numbers of animals in need, and require all rescued animals to be spayed or neutered, unless medically prohibited by a veterinarian. We endorse the dissemination of animal education and humane husbandry practices.

We work very closely with other rescues and no-kill shelters who share our mission. We raise money to pay for, or arrange foster care, transportation, and medical treatment. Our goal is successful permanent home placement.
