My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mary is a 2-year-old fawn-colored Pit Bull Terrier, whose gentle eyes and warm demeanor speak volumes of her loving nature. Currently residing at the Santa Barbara County Animal Services, Mary eagerly awaits the chance to find her forever home. Weighing in at about 65 pounds, she carries not just her physical presence, but a heart filled with boundless love and the hope of connecting deeply with a new family.

Mary`s journey so far reflects her nurturing spirit—once a caring mother, she now dreams of extending her affection beyond the confines of our shelter. Despite her appreciation for the short walks and attention she receives here, Mary yearns for the freedom of the great outdoors, the excitement of new adventures, and the tranquility of quiet evenings spent in the company of someone who loves her as much as she is ready to love them.

Recognized for her intelligence and eagerness to please, Mary is not just looking for an owner, but for a true friend. Shelter staff commend her for being exceptionally loyal and a source of joy and laughter. She embodies the spirit of friendship, promising to bring loyalty, love, and a touch of humor to her future home.

Mary (ID#A523367) is patiently waiting at 5473 Overpass Rd, Santa Barbara, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday through Sunday. She invites you to visit this weekend, promising that if you choose to take her home or foster her, the shelter will ensure her meals are taken care of. Mary’s silent plea is for a chance at a loving home—a chance to start a forever journey together.

With hopeful wags and the gentlest of eyes, Mary awaits your kindness, ready to unlock the door to the loving home she`s been dreaming of.
Let your heart be touched by her story, and consider making Mary a cherished part of your life.
