My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

PICTURE THIS:

It all starts at 1 PM at our clinic, lots of commotion and there’s now an unknown dog on our property. After quickly securing this sweet boy, we then scan him for a chip, and instantly we were thrilled to discover he was microchipped.

However, our joy turned bittersweet when we quickly learned his owner no longer WANTED him. Simply put, he discarded him. He left him. We then discover all that had unfolded for this sweet boy who didn’t deserve this.

We believe Champ tried his hardest to follow him and go after his dad. The only guy he knew and who he thought hung the moon! In fact, Champ still thinks this. Days in and he still looks for his dad at every walk, and every time the door opens. Champ deserves so much more. He deserves to know love!

So, let us introduce you to Champ! He is worth so much more and deserves more love than his previous owner showed him.

Champ is a 4-year-old, 85-pound All-American Bulldog mix. He is a gentle giant with a heart of gold. You can clearly see in his sweet eyes that he’s truly an old soul that’s ready to be somebody’s couch potato.

If you're interested in adopting Champ, please reach out to Freeman-Fritts Animal Shelter at info@freemanfritts.com, or better yet, come by and meet Champ in person from Tuesday to Friday between 1 PM and 4 PM.

💥NOTE: While we know choosing to surrender your dog or cat can be a difficult decision, we would prefer that you come inside and talk to us about if first, rather than make the choice Champs dad did. So much could have gone wrong with leaving him the way he did.
