My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This boy was believed to be left behind by his owners and lived on his own for a year with a nice lady caring for him outdoors. When taken into rescue he was a complete gentleman at all times. He gets along with everyone, comes to greet you always. Loves butt scratches and would love to be the center of attention or part of a group. He would make a great addition to any family. He loves his pickle toy that he gets to play with at Petco North when volunteers come to visit! He would love someone to love and spoil him with pickle toys. Not a big fan of treats but loves soft canned food as a treat on occasion. Loves everyone he meets and is very easy going.

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
