Meet Callie. She is a gorgeous girl who was rescued from the streets of South Texas. She is presently living with her foster mom north of Houston. Callie is very laid back, quiet, and will occasionally play with a ball (with or without human help). She is a very loving Velcro Dane.

Callie likes walking on her leash and does not pull or jerk. Callie knows her name and is learning commands. She is housebroken, is not into destruction, and is a fun-loving couch potato. She rarely barks. This sweetie may have previously had a litter but it will have been her last.

It is unknown how she would react in a household with children. She would do best in a home with a fenced-in yard where she could lounge outside for naps and potty breaks. She is an inside dane who likes sleeping on the couch and occasional bed. Callie loves riding in golf carts and enjoys a simple life.

She has a rough recent history with other dogs, and is not good with cats.so is seeking a home with neither.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity.
