My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dakota Jean  is one of FOUR senior sisters (approx 10 yrs) left behind when their owners went into long-term care, one after the other...  Unfortunately, there was no plan in place for their care in the event of an emergency.

Neighbors learned that the girls had been abandoned and they stepped up to help feed and care for the quartet but it's now been over 6 months and goodwill has worn thin as the likelihood of anyone returning gets slimmer every day.  T he state of the house is unhealthy for the cats and the few feeders left who dare to enter.   So we have been called in to help...

These sweet girls deserve to live out their lives in a loving home, with care and consideration, not an abandoned house where their sustenance depends on the charity of strangers.

Dakota is ultra independent, loving, and just one cool calico cat. She likes being pet, but likes snacks even more (and knows she needs to lose a lb or two). She would like to stay with her sister, Astro.
