WALDEN NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Walden and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (May 19th) from 12-3 pm at the Petsmart in Falls Church (6100A Arlington Blvd, Falls Church, VA 22044)!

Name: Walden         Best Guess for Breed: Retriever and Great Pyrenees mix

Best Guess for Age: 2 years as of 2/1/2024        SEX: Male

Approximate Weight: 70 lbs.

Gets Along With:   Other Dogs. Walden is not recommended for a home with cats. Walden has not been seen with kids but can be tested.

Currently Living at: DC area foster home.

Walden is Looking For: Walden is looking for his forever family! This sweet boy has a lot of love to give and he would love to experience all the awesome things that life has to offer. He would love to go for long walks, trips to the dog park, and adventures with his new family. He would a love to go to a training class so he can show you how smart he is!! Walden would love to cuddle next to his humans and enjoy lots of nice pets. Some squeaky toys, bones, a nice doggy bed, and some good quality kibble would be nice too. Oh and don't forget he would love some delicious treats!

But what Walden wants most of all is to know he's safe and loved. In exchange, he promises loyal companionship, adoring gazes with this expressive eyebrows, and lots of tail wags.  What do you say? Is Walden the one for you?

What My Foster Says About Me: Walden is a big goofball. He is very smart.  He only whines and barks for a few minutes when in his crate, then he settles down.  He sleeps in his crate, as do my other dogs, and he goes in his crate when it is time to eat and when I am out. He is working hard to learn his house manners like no counter-surfing, asking to go out, no jumping up. He just wants to show you love and gives lots of cuddles and kisses. Plus he doesn't shed much.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

TO ADOPT: The adoption fee for this dog is $460, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations. If you are interested in adopting, please complete the Adoption Questionnaire online   at   bit.ly/adoptaluckydog

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
