Meet Opie – 6 years young, healthy and has his whole life ahead of him and we hope we can find the right understanding adult home that will give him the stability, understanding, and unconditional love he deserves. Opie is a sweet, loving and playful dog who loves tug of war, belly rubs, taking walks outside, sitting in the sunshine, swimming in the pool/lake and cuddling with friends and family on the couch or in bed.

While he is truly wonderful with people and loves to meet new human friends, he can be reactive with both people and dogs when startled. Transparently he also has anxiety (currently taking Fluoxetine daily which has worked wonders for him and improved his quality of life) and a history of biting (has happened on 2 occasions when startled).

We currently have a young baby and want to ensure the safety of all parties and are looking for a new home where Opie can truly thrive.
