My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Hello I'm T.P! I know what you're thinking, she looks just like a bear cub! My foster mom thinks I am a Chow/Shiba Inu mix. I look just like a miniature Chow with a Shiba tail! I take time to warm up to people but once someone has put in the time to ear n my trust I am loving and loyal to them. These breeds are incredibly adorable and are  often adopted because of how cute they are without people truly understanding the breed. My foster mom (a dog trainer) has put together an impressive list of criteria to narrow down ALL the applications we are sure to receive for me!

I am a 6 months old, female red Chow chow/Shiba Inu mix who currently weighs around 30lbs. I am very shy and need time to warm up to a person. When I do approach people, it needs to be my choice - which means no little kids. I'm looking for a very special home that can provide the following.

- An experienced dog owner that has had chows/shiba's previously or someone who has really dedicated effort into learning about these two primitive breeds, is not a first time dog owner and is prepared to raise a mix of difficult dog breeds. T.P needs to be in a home where her person will know how to be reliable with providing structure and implementing management. She needs someone that will appreciate her traits but will tell her no when needed.
- No other dogs in the house, she will do best being the only dog.
- Time and Resources. T.P is a mix of tricky breeds that require an upkeep of structure, management and grooming so continuing training will be a must for her. T.P's foster mom has done great work with training and her potential adopters will need to be caught up to speed on what she knows and how to help her succeed in her new home.
- Someone that is not going to allow for other dogs to invade her space and will advocate for her and work towards dog neutrality. She is not a dog that will enjoy people or other dogs getting into her space.
- No children

If you're interested in meeting T.P to see if she could be the perfect little fluffy companion for you, apply at  https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
