My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DESPERATELY NEED FOSTER HOME FOR THESE GIRLS!

Holly and Noel are adorable 8-month old kitty sisters who are sweet and lovable and full of fun. Noel is a tuxedo girl and Holly is an orange girl kitty,

These bonded kittens love attention and playtime and do everything together. You will never be bored with these two in your home. The orange sister is more outgoing but the tuxedo sister is a little shy but incredibly attached to her sister.

Healthy, happy, and fully vetted, these two girls are more than ready to join your family as fosters or adoptions. They have been waiting for someone to choose them since September and we just don't understand why they haven't found homes yet.

Please call Robin Dinning at 352-339-3352 if you would like to foster or adopt these sweet girls. Phone calls only, please, no texts. You can also email our rescue at spcagainesville@hotmail.com for an application.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

E-mail is usually the best way to contact us or you can call our adoption coordinator, Robin, at 352-339-3352 for more information. We will require you to fill out an application/questionnare form and sign an adoption agreement if and when an adoption is agreed upon. Adoption fees are $100 per pet. We are very selective when choosing homes for our needy animals. Many of our rescues have been through a lot of stress and sometimes injury in their short lives and our primary goal is to match the right animal with the right home.

Go meet their pets

We do not have a shelter or location for visiting most of the pets. Most of our animals are in individual foster homes where they receive the individual care and attention they deserve and need. Several of the pets listed are at PetSmart waiting to be adopted. Please contact us via e-mail if you are interested in adopting or fostering and we will set up a time to meet. The adoption fee is $100 per cat or dog to help cover some of the veterinary care, testing, vaccinations, surgeries, food, litter, and medical needs. All of the adoption fees and donations go directly to help the animals in need
If you are interested in making a monitary donation that will go directly towards animal health care, please contact Keystone Heights Animal Hospital at 352-473-4966. They are able to take credit card donations over the phone and place the money directly onto the rescue account to help pay for medical expenses. You may also bring your items (not animals) for donation to Keystone Heights Animal Hospital in Keystone Heights, FL - Mon-Fri. 8:30am-5pm. We are always in need of towels, blankets, new kitty scratchers and toys, gently used or new kitty beds, carriers, and litter. You may also mail check donations made out to The SPCA of North Florida to P.O. Box 122 Putnam Hall, FL 32185. And of course, donation of your time is always appreciated, either by fostering a needy animal in your home or by donating your time on the weekends to help at our adoption site.

More about this rescue

We are a small completely volunteer non-profit 501c3 organization run exclusively on private donations and no governmental assistance. Our primary goal is to find lifelong, forever homes for special needs unwanted cats and dogs. We also emphasize owner education and reducing the number of unwanted pets through spaying and neutering. We usually focus on cat and kitten rescue but will also have the occasional dogs, puppy, or even rabbit in our program who needs help.
We specialize in special needs pets who don't have much of a chance at finding the perfect home or any home at our local shelters. Whether their special needs are physical, medical, or emotional or behavioral, we feel that these animals are just in need of the right home and the right human who will understand them. If you are interested in helping with our special needs animals, please contact us. Many of the cats, kittens, puppies, and dogs need time, love, understanding, as well as daily medications and treatments while they heal. Adopting a special needs pet is a true rescue.
We are always looking for good temporary foster parents. During the holidays, Spring Break, summer vacation and other times of the year we lose a lot of foster families to other obligations and commitments so we are always in need of new foster families. Kittens will need a few weeks for socialization and time to grow. All they need is a safe room, such as a bed room, to play in and wait their turn at the PetsMart adoption site. All supplies are provided while you are fostering a kitten. We also need temporary foster homes for cats. Many also just require 1 room and some human interaction. Our puppies and dogs require a little more commitment and time, but if you can't commit for the next 12-16 years then maybe fostering is right for you. We would love to establish a larger dog program but need experienced and dedicated volunteers to help.
