Hello potential forever families, I’m Shadesaurus! I’m a darling 2.5 year old female lab mix and I weigh 40lbs. I’m fully house trained and crate trained. I came into rescue rovers 2 years ago as a “feral” puppy. This means I didn’t get to interact with humans for the first few months of my life. Because of this I’m very shy with new people, especially men. I really come out of my shell when other dogs are around! I currently live with 3 dogs and it’s just fantastic! I love having furry friends to play with and snuggle on fuzzy blankets. I’m even good with cats.
I need a patient forever family that’s committed to training and pushing me. My foster mom has been taking me on lots of pack hikes. At first it was scary but now I absolutely love it! I have the cutest little howl when I get excited and have mastered jumping into the truck by myself (it’s a big deal guys!) I love toys, especially squeaky balls. I’m getting into playing tug and once I feel safe with my people I give the best snuggles! Quick movements make me nervous so I’d do best in a home with older, dog savvy kiddos.
Here’s the check boxes I’m looking for in a forever home:
Other dogs, the more the better
A playful pal would be awesome but I also adore my senior siblings and have learned they don’t want to play
Patient, loving people who will continue my training
Lots of fuzzy blankets and whipped cream
Strong commitment to keeping me safe until we’re bonded. I’ll be a flight risk at first but within a week I’ll be sharing your pillow
