My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sunflower! Age: 9 Weight: 37lbs
Sunflower is a gentle and sweet lady who may be nearing retirement age but most definitely doesn't want to hear you say she's over-the-hill. This ageless beauty still enjoys her (short) walks and (long) snoozes in the sunshine. And she most definitely still wants to be a part of your everyday life - even if that just means enjoying the view from her comfy bed. In her foster home, Sunflower enjoyed car rides and spending time outdoors. She did well with strangers and children, and she's ok with other dogs as long as they let her be. She may not do well around small animals, though, as she seems to have a high prey drive. If you have another dog in the home, we require the dogs to meet at the shelter just to be sure it's a good fit for both of them. We imagine Sunflower puttering around her new home a little every morning before settling into a soft, warm spot for the rest of the day. If you'd like to enjoy relaxed companionship with a dog who lives on the easy side of life, please come meet Sunflower and see that new friendships can develop at any age!
