My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

🐾 Meet T-Bone: Your New Adventure Buddy! 🐾

T-Bone, with his glossy black coat adorned by charming white markings, is a bundle of joy waiting to steal your heart. This little explorer has already conquered the art of puppyhood in his foster home, and now he’s ready to find his forever family.

Here’s why T-Bone is the perfect companion:

1. Curious and Fearless: T-Bone’s adventurous spirit knows no bounds. He fearlessly explores every nook and cranny, leading the way with his inquisitive nose. Whether it’s chasing butterflies or investigating mysterious scents, T-Bone is always up for an adventure.

2. Gentle Soul: Despite his boldness, T-Bone is a gentle soul. He loves cuddles, especially when you scratch under his neck. His eyes light up with affection, and he’ll melt into your arms as you shower him with love.

3. Social Butterfly: T-Bone gets along swimmingly with other dogs, including the resident large breed dog. He even shares a friendly fence chat with the chickens! His sociable nature makes him an excellent playmate for both humans and furry friends.

4. Quiet Charm: T-Bone isn’t one to bark unnecessarily. He reserves his vocal talents for playful moments, adding a touch of whimsy to your days. Imagine the joy of hearing his sweet puppy barks as you play fetch in the backyard.

5. Garden Explorer: T-Bone’s favorite pastime? Exploring the garden! His tail wags in delight as he sniffs out hidden treasures among the flowers. And guess what? Fresh carrots and peas are his guilty pleasures. You’ll have a gardening buddy like no other!

Stats at a Glance:
• Age: Approximately three and a half months
• Breed: A delightful mix of cattle dog and mutt
• Weight: A sturdy 20 pounds (perfect for cuddling!)

Foster-to-Adopt Opportunity: T-Bone’s adoption journey includes a special twist. As he eagerly awaits his neutering appointment, you can foster him and watch him blossom. Once he’s ready, he’ll officially become part of your family—a loyal companion for life.

Don’t miss out on the chance to welcome T-Bone into your home. His paws are ready to leave a lasting imprint on your heart. 🐶❤️

Note: T-Bone’s adoption will be finalized after his neutering procedure, which is scheduled soon.

More about this rescue

Redwood Pals Rescue was formed to keep the euthanasia rate low at our local county shelter which is a kill facility. We are an all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to support rescue and adoption efforts of animals that are at risk in the Humboldt County Animal Shelter.

Some of the things we do:
* rescue animals in danger of being euthanized at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter

* place rescued animals into permanent adoptive homes;

* facilitate transportation of rescue animals to out-of-area rescue organizations, fosterers, and adoptive homes;

* train/rehabilitate rescue animals to facilitate their placement into permanent adoptive homes;

* to provide temporary foster of shelter animals with medical needs to facilitate their placement into permanent adoptive homes;

* provide educational outreach to promote the adoption of shelter and rescue animals as pets;

* improve the quality of life for animals at the Humboldt County Animal Shelter;

* encourage and facilitate proper veterinary care including vaccinations, spaying and neutering;

We always need: Donations! which can be sent to our P.O. Box or through Razoo. Fosters! We do not have a shelter of our own but instead rely on kennel space for our rescue dogs at the shelter (when it isn't full) or with our network of foster homes. We sometimes have to emergency board dogs to save their lives. We would rather have them in a foster home. Volunteers! if you are interested in volunteering let us know. We are a small group and could always use more help.
