Hi there, I'm Rita! Let me tell you a little about myself. I may seem a bit timid at first, especially in the shelter environment, but I promise there's a whole lot of love and loyalty inside me waiting to blossom.
When I first arrived at the shelter, I was quite shy and nervous. Everything felt overwhelming, and I wasn't sure how to handle it all. But with time and patience from the wonderful staff here, I've made some incredible strides. Now, you'll see me walking with confidence, no longer pulling on the leash like I used to. I've learned to trust and feel safe, and it's made all the difference.
One of my favorite things to do now is seek out attention and pets from my handlers. There's something so comforting about their gentle touch and kind words. I've become quite the cuddle bug, if I do say so myself!
I must admit, I feel more at ease around women than men initially. But don't worry, I'm still open to forming bonds with everyone. It just takes me a little longer to warm up sometimes.
And here's a fun fact about me: while out on walks, I'm quite the social butterfly! I don't react towards other dogs at all. I guess I've learned that there's no need to be afraid when I'm surrounded by good company.
