Millie came into our rescue because her first family feared they didn't have the resources to address a potential health issue Millie was presenting. The vet they took her to said she had many bladder stones and was going to need a costly surgery which they were not able to afford. They truly made a selfless decision by asking us to take over her care.

After Millie came into rescue, she saw or vet right away. Many of the stones were already gone but she did remove those that were still there. We will never know why this happened but it is believed Millie had an untreated urinary tract infection which caused the stones. For a puppy this young to have stones was rather unusual. We have put Millie on special food reduce the chance of future stones. This simple, yet effective plan is working, and we haven't seen any reoccurrences.

Millie is very well behaved for such a young puppy. She walks on a leash, she knows a few basic commands, and she sleeps through the night in the big bed. As long as she is not alone, she is a very good girl that doesn't get into things. Remember, she is still a puppy. She is also a very good car rider who would enjoy running errands!

If you do have a fence, it needs to be secure because Millie is so small. We are not requiring a fence because Millie is leash trained & will do her business on a leash. She has proven to be reliably potty trained, but please be mindful that a new environment will require time & patience in learning a new routine. She will need a family that is dedicated to giving her plenty of opportunity to continue her training success. Her foster mom does have potty pads down while she is away at work just in case.

Millie is an absolute doll, and she will make a fabulous friend for any family.
