PJ is an adorable and mischievous 1.5 year old female Terrier Mix weighing in at 13lbs. She is spayed and up to date on all her vaccinations. PJ can be excessively vocal particularly when she feels alone. She will be best suited in a home only and no apartments please. The ideal home would have someone who works from home fulltime. Housetraining is ongoing and until mastered, she will require consistent outings. She has proven to be stubborn in this area, but small victories are celebrated. She does very well in a crate at night so long as she is in the same room.
In her foster home, PJ lives with 2 dogs about her size. She does incredibly well with socialization and has a high level of comfortability with other dogs. In meeting new people, she tends to be a bit nervous, but curiosity gets the best of her. PJ is best suited and safest with adults and children 10 years and older due to her size and being quite the rambunctious pup. PJ would do best with another dog around her same size. That way she can burn off some of her never ending energy. She loves toys, chew bones are a must. Some of her focus lies on household items which are not in her best interest. Thus, her engaged playfulness will need to be redirected positively with a vigilant eye.
To set up a meet and greet or inquire about a dog, please first fill out an application at https://savinghoperescue.org/adopt It doesn't obligate you, but it is the first step. We don't get to all of the inquiries but respond to all applications. Thank you for choosing to rescue!
