Hello, I'm Ryker!

I'm a friendly and oh-so-handsome German Shepherd with a pair of show-stopping ears that are bound to catch your eye! I absolutely adore people-I can't get enough of their company and affection.

My journey brought me to FOHA after my previous owner found me "too much" following a noise complaint from our apartment complex. But hey, I'm just a lively pup with lots of love to give!

Toys are my jam, especially the Wobble Wag Giggle toy! And don't even get me started on tug-o-war with a good ol' rope in the play yard-I'm always game!

Now, I do have a little something to work on. I can be a bit reactive to other dogs and a bit strong while on the leash, but the fantastic FOHA staff and volunteers are already helping me with this. They've introduced me to "check-ins," and I've been showing real improvement. Smart, they say-I like to think so! I'm learning fast, especially when there are treats involved. Speaking of treats, I'm not super motivated by just any treat, but bring out the "high value" ones, and I'm all ears!

I haven't had the chance to join a playgroup yet, so we're not sure how I do with other dogs in that setting. However, I can tell you that squirrels and other wildlife on walks? Meh, I'm cool as a cucumber.

No signs of resource guarding or touch sensitivity here! I'm a laid-back guy who just wants a loving, active family to call my own. A yard to run in, plenty of walks, and loads of love? That's the dream!
