If you’re looking for a dog that’s out of this world Rocket’s the one for you. He’s adorable, fun, silly, and very loving. He’s also super smart! He’s already perfected walking on leash and doesn’t pull at all. He’s mastered the art of sitting on command, and looks adorable while doing so. He also knows to take treats gently from your hand. He can be quite refined…but he’s also got a silly streak! Sometimes he just has to let his dork flag fly. It’s okay though…he can totally rock it! You can really see his quirky side when he’s around other dogs. He just wants to goof off and have fun with them! Rocket loves toys, especially playing fetch with them. He loves spending time with people and can be very affectionate. It makes him very happy when you sit next to him and pet him.

Our regular adoption fee is $100 payable by money order or credit card. The fee covers basic vaccinations, Rabies vaccination, microchip, heart worm testing for dogs, and the spay/neuter surgery.

You will be required to sign to an adoption contract and other paperwork relating to the adoption of your new family member.

Our kennel hours are Monday-Friday 10 am to 4 pm and Wednesday 5 pm to 7 pm. We are also open on Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm.

More about this shelter

We are an open admission, municipal shelter serving the unincorporated area of Fort Bend County, TX.

We are the county's rabies control authority as well as being their animal shelter. On average, we take in approximately 4,000-5,000 pets per year.

The staff at FBCAS is small but each and every one of us is dedicated to making the stay of the pets in our care as comfortable as possible. Our hearts are in this and with every pet that crosses our threshold.

We are part of the amazing Fort Bend County community and we are always striving to work with our community people and partners to make our shelter the best it can be.

We can always use new volunteers to help us keep our pets happy and healthy while they wait for their forever home.
