Shauny is a an easy-going piggy, who just wants to be included in all things.

Shauny's favorite things are: Lettuce, chew toys, and nose scratches!

But he's not so into: Being picked up! While he enjoys cuddling, he doesn't appreciate being picked
up.

His special talents are: Standing on his back legs to try to see you better.

His perfect day would be: Receiving all of the cuddles, jumping on Remy, and chewing on his chew toys.

If Shauny was an ice cream flavor, he would be: Peach.

Meet the Pet

Visit the shelter during regular business hours. If the pet is listed as "in foster", please contact the foster at the email provided.

2.
Submit Application

If you would like to adopt after meeting the animal, the foster or staff member will give you a link to an online application.

3.
Approve Application

One of our adoptions counselors will contact you to go over the pet’s medical history, personality information, and answer any questions.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Finalize adoption paperwork & pay adoption fee.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Schedule a time to pick up the pet at the shelter.

Founded in 1944, the Animal Welfare League of Arlington provides animal adoption and community programs to the Northern Virginia and D.C. metropolitan area, as well as animal rescue and control services within Arlington County.
