**Meet and greets for approved applicants must happen within 3 days or the closest weekend (for long travelers). It’s in the dogs/puppies best interest to be placed into their furever homes in a timely fashion. All household members must attend the meet and greet.

Attica adores people, she also likes to lean into her people for all the love. She’s super gentle at taking a treat! She likes her peanut butter filled kong and will crunch up a pigs ear in a jiffy, but will pass on a rawhide chew. Although Attica is 62 lbs, she could easily gain another 10+ pounds to fill out a bit.

She really likes to be outside, so she may fool you that she needs to go potty when she really wants to go out & sniff around. (Hence I ignored the standing by the door & we had an accident – that’s on me!)

Attica has been in rescue for a very long time before making her way to Wisconsin, she’s very excited to find a family of her own to love and to learn how to “dog”. She really wants to hang out and be a part of the family but is still working on being able to relax enough to be able to lay down and sleep when not in the kennel. She’s making great strides and I have no doubt she’ll make a great “lap dog” soon!

More about this rescue

Hoping Fur A Home is a volunteer run dog rescue organization serving the Southern, WI area. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason – dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
