Pria is a sweet, silly, gorgeous girl! Pria loves every human she has met; men, women and children she has also met a few dogs and has done really well. Pria is a full on lover with no understanding of personal space. She can be overwhelming to young children because they are at her level and she loves to give kisses but she just wants to give and get love from anyone.

Pria is very food motivated, she loves meal times and snack times more than anything!! Due to this motivation she would be extremely trainable. She eats from a slow feeder and has shown no aggression when I put my hand by her mouth/food. She has also learned to take treats very nicely. Pria is a typical youthful dog she will run and bounce around outside playing with her foster sister and then take a nice long nap while I work.

Pria is fully housebroken and crate trained and she has proven herself to be trustworthy so she gets full run of the house while I work in the basement. Typically she will play with her sister, sleep near me, or in front of the window so she can “protect me” from anyone who walks by.

Pria will be the first one to greet you in the morning with snuggles and kisses; some morning she lays on top of me nose to nose for morning attention. Pria would be an amazing one and only dog soaking up all the attention from her humans but she would also do well in a house with another dog her size that likes to play more rough and tumble style. She is a big fan of toys soft ones and hard ones that she can really chew on; she also likes to chase a ball though she is not great at bringing it back. Pria would enjoy a fenced yard but a few nice walks during the day would also work for her. True to her shepherd breed she is very loyal and will follow you around the house to make sure you’re okay or to check if you have snacks.

Pria would easily fit into any family/home she is a pretty relaxed go with the flow dog. So, if you’re looking for a 60lb lap dog with no sense of personal space and full of love; Pria is the gal for you!!

More about this rescue

Hoping Fur A Home is a volunteer run dog rescue organization serving the Southern, WI area. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs left homeless for whatever reason – dogs in public shelters where they are at high risk of euthanasia due to pet overpopulation, dogs given up by their owners because of difficult circumstances, and those in danger of abuse or neglect.
