My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

LOCATION: Grain Valley, Missouri
DOB: 06/18/2021 (Estimate)

Calling all the single ladies……introducing Mr. Bentley. This love bug is ready to find his forever person. He is looking for a long term partner, not just a partier!

Let’s start with Mr. Bentley’s stunning presence…..notice his shiny black coat and the white on his chest, shaped like a stallion on its hind legs -oh la la. He has a good balance of an intimidating size to protect you, but has the gentlest demeanor to adore you. His big brown eyes can gaze into your eyes forever as he thrives on the connection you have and the love you can share with him. He will always show appreciation for that, so you can forget the guys that don’t appreciate you.

Mr. Bentley gets excited for the little things too. He knows that his past was not great, so he lives in the present and those little things. He actually loves going in his room (kennel) when you have to leave the house. He will just go in there at random to lay down too. No complaining from him when you leave to go shopping. When you get home you will have the happiest welcome home greeting ever, not a complainer asking how much you spent or what all did you buy that you didn’t need. He needs a minute of your attention when you get home so he can take it all in and get out his excitement on your return.

He loves a good meal too - not a “foodie” though. He will gallup to his bowls and sit until you release him to proceed eating. He also loves a good snack. He was a bit unsure about them at first but they are a 2nd love for him. So he will definitely be the best companion to watch a movie with you and also eat your favorite snacks with. No body shaming here.

His love for toys has grown significantly. He did not know what to do with them at first, but once he did oh boy, do you get the happiest version of this gentle giant. He is not destructive with them either. With his love for toys, he will not hamper your chosen hobby and the stuff that makes up happy (outside of him of course) .

He loves the outdoors, but I wouldn’t describe him as an outdoorsman. He loves snuggling with you on the couch or in bed with his initiation. It doesn’t really matter what you are doing he will happily do it with you. So no ghosting you after you meet. He goes all in with the one chosen.

Mr. Bentley is an affectionate fella too. He likes to give you his paw as a display of his trust in you. Isn’t that what we all want in a relationship? If he needs more, he will nudge you too, but not a big kisser. That doesn’t matter though as you will still know that you are #1 in his life.

As with all dating and the single world these days, there is not a perfect 100% partner out there, but Mr. Bentley is close. The one thing that bugs him is he doesn’t like to be bothered when he is laying down/sleeping. And really who does? He can let out a grumble to let you know he needs you to let him be. So with this you will have your space to nap how you’d like. Every couple needs a break from each other anyways. (Note he only has a reaction to males)

Other plusses that make Mr. Bentley the perfect catch
- [ ] He loves meeting new people including kids
- [ ] He has no issues with other dogs…big or small
- [ ] He does not tug on the leash when walking him
- [ ] He does not try and dart out the door
- [ ] Has good recall
- [ ] Very good at the vets office
- [ ] He takes treats very gently
- [ ] He loves to go on car rides
- [ ] He is not a big barker
- [ ] When he loves, he loves BIG!

So, who is ready to fall head over heels and to swipe right on this handsome boy?

Go meet their pets

Our rescues are scattered all over the United States in many different states. Scheduling a meeting would not be a problem. We hold many events throughout the year. You can find the latest news on our facebook page or website.

More about this rescue

To rescue Great Danes from neglect, abuse, and abandonment while providing medical care and individual rehabilitation through our experienced and loving foster home program until we are able to provide each rescued Dane with a qualified, caring, and permanent home that will ensure a good quality of life they deserve.

To assist owners that cannot afford spaying, neutering or heartworm treatment as funds allow while also educating owners on affordable, local spay/neuter clinics, spay/neuter benefits, vaccinations, backyard breeding, behavior, nutrition, and obedience. Additionally, we want to be a link point to other rescues and clubs. Raising awareness around rescues and the Great Dane breed is of great importance to us.

We have been rescuing Great Danes since 2011 and we take pride in the collective love, concern, and dedication we have given to the misunderstood and forgotten Danes. It is our mission to continue to be the voices of the less fortunate Danes and to provide them safety and their birthright to a quality of life filled with love and dignity. You can help us achieve our mission by donating funds, items from our wishlist, items of relevance, your time through volunteering, or by lending your home as a foster.
