My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Colden, the two-year-old lab mix whose curiosity knows no bounds. With a heart full of wanderlust and a nose for exploration, Colden is always ready to sniff out the wonders of the world.
Colden's favorite pastime? Exploring the yard, his nose leading the way as he discovers hidden treasures and secret scents waiting to be uncovered.
What Colden craves most is a loving forever home where he can share his adventures with a kindred spirit. He longs for a companion who is eager to explore the world alongside him, soaking in the sights, sounds, and smells that each new day brings.
With Colden by your side, every day is an opportunity for adventure and discovery. From hiking trails to scenic drives, Colden is ready to accompany you on journeys both near and far, his spirit of curiosity lighting the way. In Colden, you'll find not just a pet, but a faithful companion and steadfast friend.

More about this shelter

We serve the pets and people in Northern Illinois and Southeastern Wisconsin. Our mission is clear: To take responsibility for each and every orphaned, abandoned, abused or neglected dog and cat which reaches our doors; to take them in and shelter them; to provide the best medical and physical care possible for them; to nurture them back to health if need be; and finally to place them into warm, loving, adoptive homes where they can enjoy the lives they deserve.
