Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lucy was adopted from the shelter as a puppy. Lucy was the furbaby until 7 years ago when a human child arrived. Lucy had been great with the child until recently. Unsure what changed, but Lucy has become intolerant and will now bark/chase/nip at the child. Lucy will need a home without young - little children. Lucy likes attention and affection on her terms, but is otherwise pretty independent and not a super cuddly lap dog. She may want to be on the other end of the couch with you, but not on your lap. She is slow to warm but very sweet. She is playful and enjoys chewing on bones and stuffy/squeaky toys. Lucy does fine alone for several hours and is totally house trained. She does NOT enjoy car rides, so would not make a good errand or road trip buddy. She loves to be outside in the sunshine.

More about this rescue
I am a very, very small, independent dog rescue with limited space. . . I have been doing rescue since 2000. In the past, I have pulled dogs from our local shelter that had failed temperment, or were out of time and at risk to be euthanized. However, these days I've been running full with dogs which are abandoned and/or owner surrenders.
I started doing rescue by fostering two sibling pups from our local shelter, who'd run out of time...been doing it ever since.
I have only had one foster home in the past, however, for the past several years, I am solo, which limits me on the number of dogs I'm able to take in to rescue and care for.
Whenever possible, if an owner is able to foster their own f of, I will assist in the reforming - this includes screening, the home visit + placement in addition to ensuring the dog is current on shots, heartworm, flea prevention + has been neutered/spayed.
