Look who is finally medically cleared! Miss Cocoa is officially available for adoption! Her little nose will always look different, but there has actually been marked improvement in the condition of the tissue. After extensive testing and treatment her vet reports that her nose is not likely to cause long term issues but they recommend keeping her nose out of strong sunlight for long periods of time.
Miss Cocoa is a 6 year old Red Heeler, perhaps better known as an Australian Cattle Dog. She is a gem of a pup that has overcome some tough situations. Due to no fault of her own, sweet Cocoa was surrendered by her owner when they fell ill and could no longer care for her. At that time Cocoa came to us where she was taken into a loving foster home and her medical needs were addressed. This lovely lady has be patiently waiting, now she is ready to find her new family!
Cocoa's nose may look different, but that doesn't mean she is any less beautiful! Not only is she pretty and smart, but she is also as sweet a dog as any you have ever met! She loves humans with all her heart. She is not a big fan of other dogs though, so she will need a home where she is the only pet. Because of this barrier, we have decided to WAIVE her adoption fee!!
