Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Laverne came to us in December 2023 after she was involved in a humane investigation. This outgoing girl is looking for her forever home where she will be able to live comfortably and happily out of the bad situation she came from!
Laverne was very shy when she initially came to us but has really come into her personality in her time with us. She is a big talker and always has a meow to share when she wants to chat. While she is not the biggest fan of being picked up, Laverne is more than happy to rub all over you and get pets!
We have not seen Laverne extensively with other animals but she has done well with people of all ages.
If you are looking for a curious, talkative kitty to add to your home, Laverne is the girl for you!

Laverne is spayed, vaccinated and microchipped.

Their adoption process

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

Check out all of the pets on our website and or stop in to meet them at the shelter.

2.
Submit Application

Submit an adoption application and wait for an adoption counselor to contact you about your approval.

3.
Approve Application

Come in to meet the pet and make sure they are a good fit. If you have a dog in the home we require dog to dog meet and greets.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once you have found the best fit you will take the pet home for a two week foster trial period.

5.
Sign Adoption Contract

At the end of the two week period, come back into the shelter to finalize your adoption and enjoy your new best friend!

Shelter is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10-4:30. We also participate is various adoption events throughout the year.
