My name is Electra!

Meet Electra! Electra is a gorgeous 1.5 year-old, 60 pound puppy mill mom survivor. She is a purebred German Shepherd with piercing golden brown eyes and a very regal look.

While she is still shy, Electra very much wants to trust humans and is already looking to her foster parents for safety and comfort. Electra is clearly new to living in a house and in a family - she is just learning to navigate stairs and find her way around - but she is very smart and responsive. She needs quiet time in her crate but gets lonely for her people! If you ask her for a kiss, she will land one right on your nose. She is very gentle and sweet, will eat from your hand and has no food or toy guarding issues. However, she is only just learning about toys for the first time!

Electra loves the outdoors! She is young and athletic and has already taken well to walking on a leash. She doesn't even pull! Her favorite thing is going on walks with her fosters and staying close to them while exploring her new world.

Electra is a Patron Pup. Patron Pups have higher adoption fees due to varying reasons and are adopted quickly, even with these higher adoption fees. They may be purebred, a highly desirable breed, small in size fully grown, etc. These fees allow them to act as patrons to other pets in our care who may not be as adoptable, or have ongoing costs for medical care, contributing to a longer time in rescue, and therefore a higher cost for us to care for them. Patron Pups allow us to continue rescuing these other animals and give them a better chance at finding their forever homes as well.

All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals.
