My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Are you looking for a furry companion to always be by your side? Meet Chiefy, a fun 4-month-old puppy who loves to explore the world and greet everyone who comes his way. This adorable guy is what we call a Velcro pup and he wants to be right by your side day and night. He loves playing with other dogs, toys, chasing leaves and mealtime, but his favorite thing is snuggling in your lap. Chiefy doesn’t realize that he will be 60+ pounds as an adult and those laps are going to become challenging to fit in, but we have a feeling he is going to try to get as close as possible because he is all about the love. He is still trying to master potty training and will need a family dedicated to working with him on all his puppy training. An active family willing to take him everywhere would be great, but he will be just as happy being a couch potato with you watching TV all day. He is a vocal guy and makes all kind of noises, humming when he is tired, squeaking when he wants to go out, he has this low growl when he wants to play and he will bark if someone has his toy almost like he is tattle telling on another dog. Chiefy is a fantastic puppy who promises to welcome you home with all the happiness his body can muster. He is the perfect blend of play, silliness, chill, and cuddle- He is a keeper!

Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies.

Puppies - We do not adopt puppies under 16 weeks to out of state adopters. This is due to our spay/neuter policy, and all dogs must be spayed/neutered before leaving Georgia state lines. We do not adopt siblings to the same household.

Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered.

Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. You can fill out an adoption application on our website, www.herorescue.org/adopt. Once your application is approved it will be sent to the foster family that is currently caring for the dog. They will be able to provide information on likes, dislikes, personality, etc. They will also schedule a time for you to meet the dog. We do require a home visit prior to adoption.

Inquiries - If you would like more information on any dogs in the rescue, please email us at info@herorescue.org.
