My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Red is a 4 year old gentle beauty of a dog. All he is looking for is a person or family to be with. He came from a family with kids, other dogs, cats and other animals and loved them all. He is big but doesn’t realize his size at times so will try to sit on your lap. He just wants to be close by. His prior family that he has had since he was a puppy fell under hard times and had to find homes for their animals immediately which was impossible so he is with us until a home is found. We cannot keep him as we have three little (under 8 pounds) ones of our own who have never been around a large dog. Though Red has no aggression towards them at all, he doesn’t know his size so they are fearful of being stepped or sat on. This causes a lot of tension in the little ones who are also older. It would be great if Red had a larger dog to play with or he’d be happy as an only dog too. He’d love a backyard or lots of walks. You’d be getting a true heart of gold with this shar pei golden retriever!
