Here's looking at you kid! Rita is a super sweet girl that is around 1 year old and weighs about 30lbs.
She is a friendly, playful, highly energetic girl that loves, loves, loves - did we say loves, other dogs and another in the home who enjoys playing, is young and active to keep up with her would be perfect! She can be vocal when wanting to play and for attention and a buddy would help with that too!
She is crate trained and house training is progressing to the point she will now alert her foster and head for the door. She is very good on walks but the sight of a potential playmate gets her excited.
Food is a super motivator for Rita and will make obedience training so much easier as she will work for her treats without hesitation! With her high energy level and love for playing, a fenced yard would best suit her to help her exercise both body and mind!
Rita is very sweet, and because she had a rough start in life without guidance or training, she still acts like a puppy who hasn't learned all the basic 'people manners' yet and when she gets excited will be jumpy for attention. Kids should be 10+ years old and dog savvy so she doesn't accidentally bump into a little one.
An active person, couple or family with patience, willingness to work with her and enroll in training classes will be greatly rewarded with a loyal, sweet, wonderful family member.
**Breed or size (once fully grown) is a 'best guess' and is not guaranteed since they arrived into rescue without either parent.
**Magnificent Mutts is an all foster home based rescue and meets are held by appointment with the entire family in attendance. Please ensure your current pets are up to date with vetting, have landlord/HOA approval and are prepared to take your new family member home at the adoption appointment. Thank you for your interest!
