My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Peppa

Peppa is a 15lb spayed female beagle mix estimated to be around 7 years old. She is up for adoption through Beagles to the Rescue in Chesapeake, VA (our adoption area is within 1.5 hours of zip code 23322).

Peppa is a sweet cuddly girl, she is the perfect mix of wanting to be held and doing her own thing. She loves to go for walks, and is great with other dogs, cats and kids. She rides well in the car, is crate trained, and has great house manners.

Peppa does have allergies and her new family will need to be prepared to keep up with medicated baths, giving pills, and taking her to the vet if she is having a flare up. She is doing so much better than she was when she arrived with us a few months ago (see before and after photos).

She is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, however she is positive for Ehrlichia (a tick borne illness) but she is not showing any symptoms, has received treatment and has been positive for several years.

Peppa has such an amazing personality and would love a place in your heart and on your sofa. If you would like to learn more about Peppa give us a call at 757-447-7773 or check out our website at https://www.beaglestotherescue.org/bttr-adoption-info

More about this rescue

We are Beagles to the Rescue a non-profit animal rescue located in Chesapeake, VA. BTTR was founded in 2008 and has placed over 1,000 dogs and counting since then.
Our beagles come from shelters, hunt clubs, stray pickups, and families across south eastern Virginia and north eastern North Carolina. We are a no-kill organization placing dogs as indoor pets in a home that matches them perfectly.
We are a 100% volunteer run organization and we are funded solely by donations.
We are not a traditional brick and mortar shelter, our dogs live in foster homes or at an open boarding kennel (think giant dog park). The kennel has acres of fenced in grassy fields for the dogs to run and play on while searching for a new home.
