Cassy is a 48 lb lab cross who may be about 10 years old. Cassy was found tied near the gates of the SPCA PV sanctuary in Puerto Vallarta the morning after a hurricane, with a box full of her puppies. The surviving pups have all found homes in Canada and are thriving. Would be lovely if this mamma also found a home.
Cassy is a calm girl who likes walks with volunteers to check out the scents and sounds of the world. Cassy has visited a home with cats and ignored them (though would be tested again if she was a candidate for a home with a cat). She is good with dogs in the shelter, but reacts if there is a fence. She is keen for affection from visitors.
Cassy is now spayed, after likely having multiple litters and she's a healthy girl. If you think you might be a good match for Cassy, email pvcaadoptions@gmail.com or go directly to our application: https://forms.office.com/r/b1Fkq3u4zw
Cassy is currently at our sister sanctuary in Mexico with flight options for Vancouver, Seattle, Edmonton or Calgary

PVCA Animal Rescue is the sister organization of the SPCA Puerto Vallarta in Mexico. We facilitate the transportation and adoption of rescue dogs into loving forever homes. PVCA is a network of volunteers, transporters, and foster homes. Our sister shelter, the SPCA PV rescues, rehabilitates and promote sterilization in the Puerto Vallarta area, with the goal of eliminating the euthanasia of healthy and adoptable animals. The organizations are wholly run through donations and volunteer efforts. The dogs & cats of Mexico are too often found living on the streets after being discarded and/or extremely abused. Compassion Knows No Boundaries!
