My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

BRINLEE is ready for a forever home! Brinlee has come a long way from her medical scare, thanks to the love and patience of her foster families and an excellent specialist and all the support and donations that many of you made for her care. For those of you who don’t know her, Brinlee is a 2 year old, 17 lb terrier mix. She gave us quite a scare shortly after she came into rescue but we have learned that Brinlee has a chronic medical issue that causes her to alternate between urinary retention and incontinence called reflex dyssynergia. Let’s be clear that despite this issue, Brinlee is a normal loving dog and she is a loyal companion who's ready to shower her new family with love. We have no reason to believe that Brinlee won’t live a normal happy life. But we need a forever family for Brinlee who is willing to love her as she is and provide the ongoing care and support she needs (which may include relatively inexpensive medication)
Here's what Brinlee is looking for:
1️⃣ Quiet neighborhood with a fenced yard 🏡
2️⃣ Commitment to 2-3 short walks daily 🚶‍♂️
3️⃣ Patience as she adapts to her new environment 🕰️
4️⃣ Willingness to accommodate her needs, including the need to sometimes wearing diapers at night and access to pee pads.
5️⃣ Someone who's home more often than not and will continue with her training and schedule 🏠

Don’t be daunted by Brinlee’s needs, you will get an ending love and affection back in return. With a little extra love and care, Brinlee will thrive and become an integral part of your family. And watching her do her zoomies or cuddle with you in the couch is the ultimate reward.

Brinlee is great with other dogs ( she prefers the smaller ones) and would be best in a cat free, small children free home (although she could certainly visit with small children).

Brinlee is a shining example of resilience and determination. She proves every day that love knows no bounds and that with the right care and understanding, anything is possible.

If you're prepared to embark on a journey filled with unconditional love and companionship, consider welcoming Brinlee into your life. Together, you'll discover the true meaning of acceptance and the profound bond between a dog and their family.you!

More about this rescue

Our mission is to rescue and rehome unwanted, abandoned, abused and unloved pets that find themselves alone and frightened in shelters. These animals give unconditional love and should receive the same love back. Unfortunately there is a need and while ever there is a need we will be there to help. Our long term goal is to build towards the opening of our own shelter and be able to help with behavioral issues, special needs, and to offer a haven to less adoptable pets. We are always very thankful for any pet related donations to assist the animals in our care
