My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Wilbur was in a high kill shelter in North Carolina. He was literally minutes away from being euthanized. We were already taking a female Walker Hound from this shelter when we got the call about Wilbur. The shelter director called us and asked if we could possibly take Wilbur as well, since he was about to be put to sleep. Well of course we said yes and the two were immediately transported to us. Wilbur was found as a stray and his owner was actually located but chose not to come and get since he wasn't the "perfect" hunter, sad. Well, we are happy that we saved him because he is just the sweetest, most gentle boy you will ever meet. He has been neutered and is fully vaccinated. He is crate trained, microchipped and heart worm negative. A large fenced yard is preferred for these hounds as they like to wander if not properly contained and we do not allow our dogs to be tied up outside. He is good with cats and young children as well, just the perfect hound dog!
