Hello, my name is Allison and I guess I went to the right place to get some help. I was hanging around a church for a few days and one of the employees there called Animal Control to pick me up. I was glad for the ride in to the shelter because when I got there I was given a big clean dog run, a big bowl of food, and a nice comfy bed. Ahhhhhh..... I was never claimed by my family and the shelter got me ready to meet some new folks! They made sure I had all of my vaccinations, that I was heartworm negative, that I had a microchip, and that I was spayed. I am and "almost" two-year-old Shiba Inu mix and I am so ready to have a real home and family. I hope you will come in to meet me!

The placement of our adoptable animals into loving, caring homes and thereby enhancing the bond between animals and people is the primary goal of the Montgomery Humane Society Adoption Program. We focus on education so that every pet owner benefits from their contact with the shelter, whether or not they adopt an animal from us. Matching the needs of the animal and the potential owner, as well as educating potential owners about responsible pet ownership, helps to ensure successful pet placements of shelter animals.
